What is confirmed

Video-tested: the achievement list includes a challenge to finish the game in under one hour. Full first-playthrough footage took far longer because players explored, gambled, collected cosmetics and experimented with weapons.

This page is intentionally a route framework, not a fake guaranteed world-record route.

Mandatory progression skeleton

A speedrun must at minimum solve the story chain:

1. Crash Island — Beer → Empty Beer Can → Spider Crab → boat access.
2. Island 2 — 3 Leeches → Leech Bait → Giant Piranha → Skeleton hand-in.
3. Island 3 — Endangered Creature → Carrot → Pufferfish → Tail hand-in.
4. Island 4 — Professional Boss Lure → Tuna → Giant Bird → Bird Head hand-in.
5. Island 5 — Scientist bait task → Whale → volcano → final encounter.

Time-saving principles supported by the videos

• Skip cosmetic gambling and Drip collection.
• Buy only the weapon/upgrades needed for the next damage check.
• Keep one or two healing catches rather than stockpiling.
• Turn in the unique boss trophy immediately so the next coordinate appears.
• Use the radar after the coordinate reward, not before.
• In co-op, split add clear/revive and boss DPS roles.

What still needs verification

The supplied footage does not prove the optimal cash route, whether every optional NPC can be skipped, or a consistent sub-60-minute boss strategy. Those pieces remain labelled needs-confirmation until a clean timed run verifies them.
