Giant Piranha Boss Guide — Leech Bait, Adds & Skeleton
Beat the Giant Piranha in How to Fish, manage the small piranha swarm, heal during the fight, and keep the Giant Piranha Skeleton.
How to summon Giant Piranha
Collect 3 Leeches from the ground on the second island and give them to the quest NPC. She converts them into Leech Bait and warns you to have a gun ready.
The fight is a swarm, not a duel
Video-tested: Giant Piranha fills the area with many smaller piranhas. The adds are dangerous, but they are also useful:
- clear them when they surround you;
- eat killed small piranhas to recover during the fight;
- in co-op, let one player pressure the main boss while another clears adds and revives.
Shotgun spread worked well against clustered adds in the supplied multiplayer runs.
Do not lose the Skeleton
When the large target finally dies, look for Giant Piranha Skeleton. That is the progression trophy seen in multiple videos. Ordinary piranhas and Meat Chunks can be sold or eaten after the fight, but the Skeleton must go back to the quest giver.
The hand-in rewards a flash drive with Island 3 coordinates. If the radar still shows no new destination, verify that the Skeleton—not a generic meat piece—was turned in.
